I chose to forgo having apple do the replacement which costs 129$ vs the 100 for this after market version after taxes and any shipping if charged. Details for those interested: I originally took my Computer into Apple to have them replace the battery after its self diagnostics indicated that the older battery (7 years old) had diminished capacity and would cause the computer to shut off with 40% remaining if not plugged in.Īfter being informed of Apples “requirement” to leave my computer overnight (tech not currently in store working was the story) so that the diagnostics could be performed and then do the simple 10 min max replacement of the battery. Take the MONOPOLY kind of power from BIG RETAIL and stick it to them.Ĭustomer service is part of having a company like that and APPLE your quality of service is plummeting.
Would 100% recommend this item to anyone wondering if they could do some work on their computer themselves! The answer is YES and you should. I have the new battery calibrated and been working great no issues, thus far anyway. Shipping and arrival was faster than anticipated (Details to follow). Easy and Simple install, not hard to find video instructions.
